Cllr Linda Jones -
Chair

Originally from North Warrington I have lived in Stretton since 1998. Married to Bryan, we have 3 children and 3 grandchildren (up to now!)

My interests are spending time with family and friends, community events, walking, reading, sewing and holidays at home and abroad

I joined the Parish Council in 2004 because I love where I live and I wanted to give something to the community. During my time as Parish Councillor and Chair I have organised projects such as Twinkling Stretton which provided living Christmas trees in the village; litter picks; and been a supporter of Blooming Stretton involving daffodil bulb planting and as the Chair of the Parish Council I am proud to be able to represent the residents in public events including Remembrance Sunday. One duty I take very seriously is taking part in planning issues which can be of a delicate nature and have a large impact on our rural Parish

Cllr Dennis Buckley -
Vice Chair

I joined the Parish Council in 2004, I have lived in Stretton for the past 24 years and before that I was brought up in Padgate, Warrington

I work in Project Management (Project Controls) for a large British Company which is based in London, but I tend to travel all over the country with my work. I am married with 2 grown up sons. I have been involved with Scouting for many year at present I train Explorer Young Leaders, and my other passion is watching Warrington Wolves

I love being involved with the Parish Council it enables me to put some of my time back into the community

Cllr Bryan Jones

I have lived in Stretton since 1998. I am married to Linda and we have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. My interests are watching Rugby Union (I played for Warrington RUFC) and walking

For the past 10 years I have attended most Parish Council meetings and have actively been involved in all the Parish events including planting daffodils for 'Blooming Stretton' and raising funds for the two Christmas trees

I have attended most of the litter picking days to try and keep the village clean. I respect the area in which I live and I am keen to ensure it is not spoilt for future generations

Cllr Jill Osborne

I have family in various parts of South Warrington but I spent my childhood and teen years in Appleton. In my twenties I moved to the Middle East where I spent 15 years working as cabin crew for a large commercial airline.
I met my husband overseas and when our son was born we decided to move home to the UK. I have such fond memories of my childhood in South Warrington that I wanted to return here to raise my own family. My husband is originally from Hampshire but he too fell in love with the area and we eventually moved to Stretton in early 2016

My son attends St Matthews Primary school and we have really enjoyed becoming a part of the Stretton community

Becoming a Parish Councillor was a new direction for me and I become involved in many community projects and in helping to enhance and maintain the beautiful Parish that we are lucky to live in

Cllr Rachel Fitzsimons

My family and I moved to Stretton in 2020 from Manchester with a view to providing a better education and a nicer environment for the children to grow up in. We love living here and the children are now happily settled in the local high school. We also added to the family with our dog Wilf, who we love taking for walks around the local area

It’s important to me that the area is kept as well as it possibly can be and continue to be a fantastic place to live and raise a family

I have a passion for travel, reading and wine, and love meeting people, so since moving here I have set up a Facebook group, a community dog walk and more recently a book club

Cllr Karl Dixon

I have lived in Warrington all my life and been a resident of Stretton since 2019. I enjoy a happy marriage with Andrea and am the proud father of two children. A longstanding member of the local community, I am eager to further engage in initiatives that improve community services and have a positive impact on my fellow residents

With 12 years of international experience living and working abroad, I have developed the skills necessary to tackle complex challenges. I am passionate about being a good listener, taking time to understand the diverse opinions and perspectives of those around me, and promoting inclusivity and empathy

My desire to be actively involved in the community I call home reflects my commitment to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for all
